As part of an accord between the Louvre museum and Saudi Arabia, Roads of Arabia: Archaeology and History of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia displayed never-before-exhibited artifacts from the enigmatic desert kingdom. Organized jointly by Smithsonian’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and Saudi Supreme Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, Roads of Arabia’s North American tour offered US visitors unprecedented insights into the history of what is now the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This limited edition volume was created for exhibition underwriter Aramco as a gift for HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in gratitude for his priceless contributions in bringing Roads of Arabia to the world.
